We booked our honeymoon with G Adventures, hoping for a memorable and well-organized trip. While there were some positive aspects, our overall experience was decidedly average and didn't quite meet the high expectations we had for such a special occasion.
On the plus side, the itinerary was well-structured, and the core travel arrangements aligned with their "Travel with Confidence" so we didn't run into any major logistical issues. The tour allowed us to see all the key highlights of our destination as planned.
However, several elements kept it from being the amazing experience we had hoped for. While we understand G Adventures offers different service levels, some of the accommodations were more basic than we anticipated and lacked the special touch or "wow" factor one would want for a honeymoon. At times, the tour felt a bit impersonal and formulaic, rather than the unique, small-group adventure they advertise.
For a standard vacation, G Adventures is likely a reliable choice. But for a once-in-a-lifetime trip like a honeymoon, where the details truly matter, we were left feeling that the experience was just okay, rather than the exceptional adventure we had envisioned.
